Some of you might recall that Rei has been mentioned before, but not actually shown in the comic.
Sorry if this is a bit confusing. Time travel does that, and it’ll be explained more in future pages.

Actually, I thought he sounded cool before, too. A shame about his hair and ear, though. He won’t be able to pass as a bishounen anymore. :’(
The Rift was a fantasy webcomic that I started in late 2003. It plodded along for a while, never really finding much of an audience despite regular updates and several attempts at advertising. It was humanely euthanized in early 2010.
The archives are still available here for posterity.
If you enjoyed Rift and would like to read my more recent work it has a spiritual successor of sorts in This is the Worst Idea You've Ever Had! a comic I began in May of 2010.
Rift also had a book: which nobody bought. Since it is print-on-demand it costs me nothing to keep it available, even though there will never be a volume 2.

I almost titled this post “wibbly wobbly timey wimey” but I couldn’t remember if I’d already titled a page that or not.
Losing both ears and hair…I wouldn’t want to know how that happens either.
